10 years ago, a Chinese outstanding designer Martin, a famous painter Mr. Ke Zhang and an art master Jianqiao Chen, together had an idea to design a kind of furniture which not only has occidental simplicity, but also expresses an oriental connotation and elegance. Foshan Wooden Art Furniture Co., Ltd. was set up by the efforts of three artists. Furniture design is based on "sea" culture and "ship" history.

Firstly, our products are made with timber from old wooden ships. These ships served in the 1930s and 1940s were all made of Shorea, ironwood and Tectona grandis, which are precious materials today. This expensive old ship timber, after hundreds of years of baptism by wind and rain, has revealed a mysterious charming temperament. The finished furniture captures this natural beauty, pristine and special.

Secondly, three artists have used spontaneous and open minds to accept occidental simple styles. Simultaneously, they haven't relinquished their oriental tastes for beautiful furniture. These two different original spirits have been engrafted perfectly. The effect is that these wooden crafts naturally display oriental temptation and occidental glamour.

Finally, we aim to promote a cultural life of pastoral nature and environmental protection. All materials are natural and eco-friendly throughout production process. When tenoning wood panels, we do not use any nails or foul glues, but only 100% wood-tenon structure. Entire products are made with solid wood, without any composite board.

It is also worth mentioning our feeling of social responsibilities. Against the backdrop of rapid climate change, decreasing energy resources and deforestation, we use old ship wood to recycle precious resources. Every product we sell saves a living tree from being used instead.
